Oldest female US Rep involved in crash
Democratic U.S. Representative Marcy Kaptur, who is considered the longest-serving woman in the history of the U.S. House of Representatives, was involved in a car accident in Toledo, Ohio, while on her way to church. The accident occurred when another vehicle, driven by a person who fled the scene, hit her. Kaptur, 80 years old, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is currently receiving treatment. Reports indicate that the incident happened before 11 a.m., and while the police have not issued an official statement, her office confirmed that her condition is stable. Kaptur is seeking re-election in the fall against a Republican challenger.
