Iran executes two for espionage
Iranian authorities have executed two individuals on charges of espionage for Israel (Mossad), after they were convicted of sending coordinates of sensitive military and security sites during the war period. Iranian agencies clarified that the sentence was carried out against Amied Behzad and Borya Safwat due to their connection to the 12-day and 40-day wars, and for sending information to Mossad officers. These rulings come after Iran previously carried out executions in May and April against individuals accused of espionage or cooperation with Mossad, amid an escalation of measures against spying activities targeting the country.
