Sudan court hit by drone, 35 dead
The village of Guraa Al-Zawayya in North Darfur witnessed an attack by a drone targeting a local court during a public session, resulting in the deaths of at least 35 people and injuries to others, according to the Emergency Lawyers Group, which attributed the attack to the Sudanese army. The operation was carried out by drones affiliated with the Sudanese Armed Forces, at a time when civilians had gathered to discuss local issues, leading to numerous casualties and the destruction of the facility. This escalation is part of the ongoing conflict since April 2023 between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, which has claimed tens of thousands of lives, caused widespread displacement, and triggered a severe humanitarian crisis in the region.
