Iran denies talks after Trump's announcement
Iran refused to conduct any negotiations with the United States after Trump's announcement of resuming dialogue between the two countries, stating that current discussions are limited to Oman and focus on securing the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz. It emphasized that efforts are confined to understandings regarding navigation and maritime security, while tensions persist due to the blockade and American attacks. Pakistan and Qatar are mediating in the process. This came after Trump announced a suspension of a military attack on Iran in an attempt to encourage negotiations, with expectations of diplomatic progress that would prevent military escalation. Meanwhile, oil prices declined as hopes for a peaceful resolution improved.
