An Indian flight from Phuket to New Delhi experienced a sudden descent on Tuesday due to severe weather disturbances, resulting in injuries to 17 passengers and crew members, including some minor injuries. The incident occurred while the plane was passing through a turbulence event in clear skies. The airline stated that the aircraft landed safely after a sudden drop in altitude of approximately 300 feet. The injured were taken to local hospitals for necessary treatment, and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the turbulence. Videos circulated showing passengers in a state of fear and illustrating the impact of the turbulence on the aircraft, along with calls for strict adherence to seatbelt use during all flights.
