Gulf Official Discusses US-Iran Deal
Negotiations between the United States and Iran are underway to reach a possible agreement regarding Iran's nuclear program and the Strait of Hormuz. A Gulf official indicated a 50% chance of reaching an agreement by Friday. He noted that the Iranian delegation is participating without representatives from the Revolutionary Guards, and the talks between the two sides are progressing well, despite Trump's threats to strike Iran if it withdraws from the agreement. Iran has also rejected direct communication with Washington and has left discussions about navigation in the strait to Oman, which remains a key bargaining chip in the negotiations.
