Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced the appointment of Denis Lyamin as the commander of the Russian drone systems forces, a new military branch responsible for using drones in the war in Ukraine, aimed at enhancing Russia's ability to conduct remote operations. This decision comes as part of a broader plan to reorganize the Russian Armed Forces, where drones play a key role along the 1,200-kilometer front line, being used to target infrastructure and military facilities within Ukraine. Additionally, the head of a Russian company that manufactures drones used in operations against Ukraine was seriously injured in an explosion involving his car. A criminal investigation has been opened into the incident, which occurs amidst a series of attacks on officials and figures connected to the Russian war effort since the start of the conflict.
