China commits 50M yuan for Shaanxi flood rebuild
China has allocated 50 million yuan (approximately 7.36 million US dollars) to support reconstruction efforts after the floods that struck Shaanxi Province in the northwest. A Level Four national emergency response has been activated. The funds will be used to repair damaged infrastructure, including roads and water facilities, as well as public amenities such as schools and hospitals, with the aim of rapidly restoring residents' lives and resuming production. Several areas in the province experienced severe flooding in recent days due to heavy rains, which led to the activation of an emergency response system to deal with the disaster.
