Al-Sharaa Highlights Deir ez-Zor Development
Deir ez-Zor International Airport has resumed operations after an interruption of nearly 14 years. It welcomed its first international flight arriving from Kuwait, along with a domestic flight from Damascus, re-establishing air connectivity in the eastern region and helping to ease travel burdens. Officials confirmed that operating the airport is a step toward restoring Syria's transportation network, as development projects are underway, including infrastructure rehabilitation, creating job opportunities through the establishment of an industrial city, healthcare projects, roads, and bridges, all aimed at supporting the economy and development in the region.
