Oman has responded to the incident of the vessel "Caroline Picenzing" running aground near the Hulayrat Islands in Dhofar Governorate, approximately 1,000 kilometers south of Muscat, in order to minimize potential environmental impacts. The relevant authorities are monitoring the developments using satellite imagery and field surveys, and are implementing international procedures to ensure the protection of the marine environment and the safety of navigation. These measures are part of the Sultanate's efforts to address ship groundings, especially after similar incidents have occurred in the region since the beginning of regional conflicts, with a focus on safeguarding the marine environment and reducing potential damages.
