A report stated that the Pentagon ordered military personnel to stop using the term "Majestic Anger Operation" to refer to American operations against Iran, even though the department officially announced its conclusion on May 5th, three months prior to the directive. The order, issued by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's office, involved replacing the phrase with broader descriptions such as "overseas operations in the area of responsibility of the Central Command." Despite announcing the operation's end, U.S. forces continued maritime missions and strikes against the Revolutionary Guard's threats, and Washington launched a new naval project to safeguard navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. Additionally, changes were observed in the classification of troop losses, with casualties from the "Majestic Anger" operation being listed after its conclusion, raising questions about the accuracy of the classification and official documentation.
