UAE backs UN probe and urges Sudan ceasefire
The United Arab Emirates affirms that it is not a party to the Sudanese civil war and continues to cooperate with the independent United Nations fact-finding mission, having launched impartial investigations to hold accountable those responsible for human rights violations. The UAE calls for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, the expansion of the arms embargo across the entire territory of Sudan, and reaffirms its commitment to UN sanctions. It also emphasized the necessity of initiating a political process led by civilians to achieve peace, while continuing to provide humanitarian aid and support dialogue with the international mission.
