Syrian Official on SDF Integration Progress
The article discusses the process of integrating the institutions of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the former Kurdish Autonomous Administration in Hasakah governorate within the framework of the January 29, 2026 agreement. The goal is to unify the references and the administrative and security decision-making under the Syrian state's umbrella. The Deputy Governor of Hasakah explained that the process has moved from understandings to actual implementation, resulting in clear security stability and a reduction in chaos, following the dissolution of the SDF and the Autonomous Administration, as well as the on-the-ground changes experienced in the region. He affirmed that operations focus on restructuring military and civilian institutions while safeguarding the rights of all components. Most of the integration files, especially in security and administrative aspects, are already in advanced stages, with an emphasis on completing them sustainably. This initiative aims to fully unify institutions to ensure stability and restore the state's control over all activities and areas in Hasakah.
