Algeria rushes to rescue boy trapped in 80-meter well
Rescue efforts in Algeria continue to save the young boy Ayoub, who fell into a narrow and deep well with a depth of 80 meters. The incident occurred after a wooden plank covering the small opening of the well broke, making access extremely difficult. Rescue teams face significant challenges due to the well’s narrowness, the deterioration of the soil, and the risk of collapses. They are working to dig a parallel shaft to approach horizontally and reach the child without causing a landslide, employing precautionary measures, specialized units, exploration cameras, and heavy machinery. The Ayoub incident has stirred concern among local residents and sparked national anticipation in Algeria. It recalls similar incidents such as the case of Rayan in Morocco and Aiyash in Algeria, inspiring hope that Ayoub can be saved alive after complex operations that have lasted several days.
