The article addresses recent political and security developments in Armenia, where Prosecutor General Khatchatour Galustian resigned after the judiciary refused to hear a case involving Armenian Catholicos Garegin II and six bishops. This occurred amid a political escalation that includes an attempt by the ruling Nikol Pashinyan party to remove the Catholicos. Religious leaders in the Armenian Church condemned the campaign against the church by authorities, who also detained relatives of the Catholicos, sparking debate over political interference in religious affairs. Tensions between political and religious authorities in the country continue to rise.
