Gaza Honors Over 100 Martyrs
The article discusses the process of retrieving the bodies of more than 100 martyrs from beneath the rubble of destroyed houses in the Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City, after years of long waiting experienced by the families of the martyrs due to the ongoing blockade and destruction caused by the continuous Israeli aggression since October 2023. The recovery operation represents a sorrowful and moving moment, as their families were able to see their loved ones once again and hold funeral ceremonies after years of loss and anticipation—scenes filled with feelings of grief and pain, accompanied by photos and videos documenting the farewell moments. Reports indicated that over 70 of these martyrs are children, and the funeral process comes after more than a thousand days of separation, highlighting the extent of destruction and the psychological impact inflicted by the occupation on the lives of the families. It is worth noting that the Israeli bombing campaign has resulted in the death of more than 73,470 people and injured 174,540 others, amidst ongoing humanitarian suffering in the sector.
