Narges Mohammadi, the Iranian human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, has spent most of the past two decades in prison due to her opposition to the Iranian regime. She was subjected to torture and ill-treatment during her detention at Evin Prison, including being beaten, kicked, and deprived of healthcare. Despite the risks, she continued to write and published her memoirs, "A Woman Never Stops Fighting," in which she reveals details of the torture and hardships she faced. She reaffirms her commitment to speak out and take action despite threats. Mohammadi has suffered severe health crises, including a heart attack and significant weight loss, and has been hospitalized twice. She believes that solitary confinement and the denial of care are tools used to destroy individuals psychologically. She also condemns the government's attempts to downplay reports of her mistreatment, emphasizing that her suffering reflects the regime's repression of human rights.
