Funeral for 105 Gaza Martyrs
Palestinians in Gaza are burying the bodies of 105 martyrs, including women and children, after they were recovered from beneath the rubble of the Tajj Square, which was destroyed by Israeli airstrikes nearly three years ago during the war on the Gaza Strip. The total includes victims from a strike that targeted the area at the start of the military operation, with the bodies recovered after years of search and excavation efforts amid challenges due to resource shortages. Some of the victims died as a result of the bombing that destroyed the residential block, which contained about 17 homes, marking one of the largest massacres, with over 500 civilians killed during the attack. The ongoing military operations in Gaza continue, as Israeli violations of the ceasefire persist, leading to thousands of martyrs and injuries since the escalation began.
