Coalition affirms support for Yemeni army
The leadership of the Saudi-led Coalition Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen affirms its ongoing military operations to support Yemeni forces and uphold legitimacy, amidst continuous Houthi militia attacks against the Yemeni people and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Houthi threats include targeting civilians in several Saudi cities and attempting to target ships in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, which necessitate defensive measures to deter these actions and protect regional and international security. The coalition also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s right to defend its sovereignty and to take all necessary measures to halt these attacks. It continues to support Yemen in restoring state institutions and ending the Houthis’ threats to maritime navigation and regional security.
