Libyan Parliament conflicts threaten Aguila Saleh
The article discusses the escalating internal crisis within the Libyan House of Representatives regarding the future of its leadership, especially after a meeting involving 65 deputies with Marshal Khalifa Haftar. This meeting revealed the possibility of a change in the council’s leadership and potential modifications in the presidency. Analyses indicate that there is no final decision yet regarding the removal of Aguila Saleh, and tensions are increasing between him and the leadership of the Libyan National Army, with hints at potential replacement or his re-election. It is worth noting that the "4+4" agreement signed in August, aimed at holding elections within two years, enhances the prospects for changes within the parliament. However, Saleh's future remains uncertain, with continued support from certain parliamentary voices due to his strong regional relations.
