The article focused on the Syrian Minister of Transport, Yereb Badr's test of the quality of paving the new Damascus Airport road using the "Water Cup Test in the Japanese Way." The minister conducted the experiment in the field by placing a water cup on the dashboard inside a moving vehicle, aiming to assess the road's smoothness and evenness by monitoring the stability of the water level. This test reflects the government's interest in visibly and clearly confirming infrastructure quality, even though it is not an official engineering standard. Followers widely reacted to this initiative, praising the minister for taking the matter to the field, while others emphasized the importance of relying on precise engineering tests and documented standards to ensure the sustainable quality of roads. This step comes as part of efforts to improve infrastructure quality and demonstrate the government's concern for the standards of projects serving citizens.
