The article reviews the behind-the-scenes aspects of the film "Marie Antoinette" directed by Sofia Coppola, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its release. It focuses on documenting behind-the-scenes photos and the challenges faced during its production. Emphasis is placed on the photographs taken by photographer Andrew Durham, which highlight the contrast between 18th-century costumes and the technologies of the new millennium, including scenes where actors use modern electronic devices in historical settings. Despite the criticism the film received upon its 2006 release for its historical ambiguity, it garnered awards and was later regarded as a visual reference for archival luxury. It is also linked to memories and behind-the-scenes moments through a documentary created in honor of the film, reflecting both its artistic and human aspects of production. The piece notes how the film mirrors cultural and technological shifts since its inception, and it is currently being re-screened at the Palace of Versailles, maintaining interest despite the financial challenges facing the film industry today.
