Canadian Author Carterson Wins 2026 Nobel Literature Award
Poet and Canadian author Ann Carson has won the Nobel Prize in Literature for 2026, for her bold and innovative works that blend poetry, prose, and translation. She draws inspiration from ancient Greek texts and myths, presenting them within modern literary contexts. Historically, she was born in Toronto in 1950 and works as a professor and lecturer, having translated many classical texts. Her literary approach is based on the convergence of her love for words and the creation of new meanings. The prize is worth 12 million Swedish kronor and is scheduled to be awarded in Stockholm on December 10.
