Iran Evaluates US Proposal on Hormuz Opening
The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Iran is currently considering the U.S. response to its proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and will respond through mediators after completing the review. He explained that Iran is exchanging messages with Washington via mediators, insists on its rights, and seeks to restore understanding with Islamabad, while rejecting American statements accusing Iran and Israel of obstructing the situation in the strait. He pointed out that the United States continues its allegations despite the worsening situation caused by American and Israeli practices, and questioned why Washington is turning to Russia to secure fuel supplies if the issue of the strait is settled.
