Hamas Rejects Maldenoff Endorsement
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) strongly rejected the Israeli occupation's narrative and claims of obstructing the entry of goods into the Gaza Strip. It accuses Israel of attempting to evade its commitments to ceasefire agreements in order to escalate the humanitarian crisis. Hamas also called on UN Peace Envoy Mladenov to end his partiality towards Israel and to pressure it to lift the blockade and stop the crimes against civilians, emphasizing the importance of allowing aid to enter and rebuilding what has been destroyed by the occupation. Mladenov had announced the suspension of coordination for the entry of goods through the Rafah crossing, citing reports of threats from Hamas. Gaza, however, denied imposing taxes on commercial trucks, accusing Israel of trying to justify new restrictions that increase the suffering of the population. Meanwhile, Israeli violations continued, resulting in hundreds of casualties and injuries, as well as the destruction of most of the infrastructure in the region.
