Sana'a tribes block Houthis' recruitment
The Houthi group is facing difficulties in expanding recruitment campaigns in Sana'a due to increasing tribal rejection, as tribal leaders are unable to provide new fighters amidst declining responses and calls from families to stop recruiting their sons. The group has used pressure and financial promises to force sheikhs to recruit young men, but participation in mobilization events has been limited, with more and more objections arising over the depletion of tribal youth—stemming from ongoing losses on the fronts and the deteriorating living conditions of the population. Meanwhile, the group continues to exploit influence and intimidation to subjugate tribes into supporting its fronts.
