China and Korea conduct joint maritime patrols
Maritime enforcement agencies from China and South Korea conducted a joint patrol in the designated provisional area under the fishing agreement between the two countries. The purpose was to strengthen cooperation and monitor fishing operations. The patrol lasted 210 hours over more than 1,200 nautical miles from October 8 to 17, during which teams inspected fishing vessels and directed fishermen. The aim was to combat illegal fishing and protect marine fishery resources in the Yellow Sea. These patrols are part of ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation in managing fish stocks and safeguarding marine resources.
