Tom Brack: US is no longer the Lady of the World
U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Special Envoy to Syria, Tom Barrack, announced that the United States is now moving away from trying to control other countries, but will maintain its presence in the Middle East. He emphasized that the relationship with the region is changing and that Washington will not completely withdraw, despite a reduced approach to direct intervention following failures in Libya, Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq. Additionally, he described the situation in Yemen as futile for American ground intervention, mentioning logistical support provided to Saudi Arabia. He also stated that the United States is seeking to reach a peace agreement with Iran, amidst clear tensions in the region.
