Russian diesel reenters US market
Russia intends to send its first diesel tanker to the United States tomorrow, following Moscow's lifting of diesel export restrictions on October 9. This comes as part of an agreement between Trump and Putin to supply the U.S. market with 300,000 tons immediately, followed by additional shipments totaling up to 1.8 million tons in November. Currently, U.S. diesel exports are estimated at 1.5 million barrels per day. Putin confirmed a 5-6% decrease in global diesel prices following the agreement. Meanwhile, trade relations between the two countries have improved despite tensions with Ukraine. Additionally, Moscow announced its readiness to supply large quantities of fertilizers to the U.S. market.
