Lebanese FM: Hezbollah Defeated
Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rjiji stated that "Hezbollah" has become defeated on both the strategic and military levels. However, it still maintains control over a large part of the deep state, preserving its weapons, influence within government agencies, and its presence in the government. He emphasized that disarming the party does not require approval of the Iranian regime but depends on making appropriate decisions with the support of the international community. This comes amid a noticeable decline in Hezbollah's military and political power, as well as its impact on Lebanon's economy and investment climate. He clarified that Lebanon is capable of resolving the issue of Hezbollah's weapons if there is political will, noting that the government is proceeding cautiously to avoid internal conflicts, with limited international support for Iran's regime.
