The Israeli army carried out an airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut, targeting the vicinity of Ghobeiry. The attack resulted in the death of three people and injuries to six others. This was in response to Hezbollah firing bullets towards northern Israel. These developments come as both sides prepare to sign a understanding agreement between Washington and Tehran. U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his displeasure with the attack, confirming that his country is close to reaching an agreement with Iran, and that the attack may delay its signing. It is worth noting that Israel has attempted operations in southern Lebanon and has warned of the risks of escalation amidst ongoing regional tensions.
