Artist Abeer Ahmed revealed that her sister, Nadia Karam, was found dead in her apartment after the family became concerned when they could no longer reach her. She was lying on the floor with a deep wound to her head. Abeer said a fall inside the home was one possible explanation, but stressed that this was not a definitive account and that the family had not yet announced the cause of death. She also said she intended to take legal action against Kuwaiti journalist Naif Al-Shammari for publishing unconfirmed information, adding that the family would clarify the details after the mourning period and with her approval.
