Trail Blazers announcer speaks after firing
Braiden Bell, the Portland Trail Blazers' recently hired play-by-play broadcaster, was fired after old social media posts from 2012-2013 surfaced, containing racist and misogynistic language. Bell issued an apology, stating the posts were made when he was 15 and do not reflect his current beliefs. The team emphasized its zero-tolerance policy for harmful comments and confirmed it would seek a broadcaster who aligns with their values.
