Chris Brain: Cleric Convicted of Abuse
Chris Brain, a former Church of England priest and leader of the Nine O'Clock Service in Sheffield, was found guilty of raping one woman and indecently assaulting three others. His conviction follows a lengthy investigation into his abusive behavior, which included sexual misconduct and manipulation of congregation members during the 1980s and 1990s. Brain's leadership was characterized by cult-like control, with victims forced to comply out of fear and devotion, leading to his eventual downfall after allegations surfaced and legal proceedings took place.
