Chiqui Tapia summoned by US authorities
U.S. authorities are investigating financial transactions involving the Argentine Football Association (AFA), focusing on millions of dollars passing through U.S. banks linked to its international commercial agreements. AFA president Claudio Tapia was approached at New York’s JFK Airport, with reports indicating FBI agents seized electronic devices, though officials deny any operation occurred. The investigation centers on the Florida-based company TourProdEnter LLC and involves examining whether funds were properly managed or used for illegitimate purposes, with no charges filed yet.
