Romania intercepts fourth drone intrusion
A Spanish F-18 fighter jet carried out an air patrol mission over Romania and shot down a drone that illegally entered the airspace, becoming the fourth drone shot down by the Romanian military this year. This incident occurs amid escalating tensions between Romania and Russia, especially with ongoing airborne intrusions along the border shared with Ukraine, where Romania previously intercepted drones 114 kilometers from Bucharest. These incursions have been condemned by NATO and the European Union.
