Washington criticizes Tel Aviv after defense leak
Statements by Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz revealed that American fighter jets have been launching sorties from within Israeli territory to carry out airstrikes against targets in Iran, which has sparked underlying tensions with the United States. The public disclosure of this information has angered US leadership, amid concerns about the safety of military operations and possible disagreements within the military coordination between the two sides. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also expressed his frustration over the repercussions of these statements. However, the Israeli military has denied any official communication or apology from the General Staff regarding the issue, though reports suggest there is tension and American discontent over the uncoordinated disclosure.
