Peak on Saturday amid Thursday heat
The Meteorological Department expects a hot air mass to affect the Kingdom, starting from Thursday, July 29, 2026. It will reach its peak on Saturday when temperatures will be at their highest levels, and its influence will continue until mid-next week. Temperatures are significantly higher than their usual values for this time of year, especially in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, Aqaba, and the desert regions, where the weather will be extremely hot. The department advises avoiding direct exposure to the sun, increasing fluid intake, not leaving children or the elderly inside vehicles, as well as refraining from lighting open fires in outdoor areas. It also recommends continuously monitoring weather reports.
