Washington urges Israel to limit south escalation
Report on Israel's escalation in southern Lebanon, where the Lebanese Army leadership announced that a soldier and civilians were injured due to the explosion of a suspicious object. Several areas were targeted by Israeli artillery and airstrikes. Israeli military operations continued, including the destruction of Hezbollah sites, amid military reinforcements and a reduction in units along the border. A round of military negotiations is being held under American sponsorship to coordinate a halt to the escalation, while Lebanese demands for Israel to fulfill its commitments and withdraw from occupied areas persist. Israel, on the other hand, confirms that its escalation aims to expand the areas under its control.
