Rashaya Prison Joins Strike Amid Resident Warnings
The Families of Prisoners Committee in Lebanon announced that 18 inmates at Rachaya Prison have joined an open hunger and medication strike in protest of the freeze on the general amnesty law. The strike aims to pressure the government to reactivate the law, which seeks to release prisoners through a comprehensive amnesty, with the number of strikers increasing as the freeze continues.
