WHO raises alarm over Gaza medical delays
A report from the World Health Organization warns of the worsening health and humanitarian situation in Gaza due to the ongoing delays in importing essential medicines and medical supplies, such as prosthetics and basic medications. This situation threatens the lives of residents and hampers the full operation of hospitals. The organization confirmed that most hospitals in Gaza are not operating at full capacity, and doctors are facing a severe shortage of basic supplies, amidst restrictions on crossing points that reduce aid access and hinder improvements in water and sanitation conditions. With winter approaching and the risk of disease outbreaks increasing, the WHO called for the facilitation of aid deliveries without interference to support healthcare efforts and reduce escalating health risks.
