Legendary singer reunites with son after 58 years
After 58 years of separation, American singer Mike McDonald, a star of the "Doobie Brothers" band, was able to reconnect with his biological son, Michael Gussling. Gussling had been put up for adoption after birth. Using a DNA test via "23andMe," the biological relationship between them was discovered, leading to their first meeting, even though Gussling had known he was adopted throughout his life. During the reunion, McDonald learned that he had become a grandfather, and that Gussling had a family and children. He expressed pride in Gussling and his family, emphasizing that adoption was a successful choice. The emotional interaction between them confirmed that their reunion brought happiness to both, and that Gussling's life had been good despite being separated from his original family.
