Iranian Parliament Seeks Defense Minister Confidence Vote
Statements by Iranian Parliament Board Member Mohammad Roshidi focused on the request to interrogate Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, which has been registered in the parliamentary oversight system but has not yet been referred to the presidium. This was due to his communication with American officials without the Iranian Supreme Leader's permission. He also indicated that the confidence vote for the Defense Ministry nominee, Mehrdad Akhaki, will be held on October 18, and that the government still needs to nominate a candidate for the Oil Minister position. Meanwhile, it is under pressure to appoint a Minister of Intelligence within the specified deadline.
