Albanese Warns on Gaza Genocide and Greater Israel
The article focused on the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza for more than three years, as the war enters its fourth year. It mentioned that Israeli forces have killed at least 74,237 Palestinians and injured 175,206 during this period. Since the ceasefire in October 2025, military operations have resulted in the death of 1,467 Palestinians and the injury of 5,161. The UN agency, represented by Special Rapporteur Albanese, described the situation as catastrophic and beyond description, warning that 70% of Gaza is under the control of the Israeli army, which is intent on leveling it completely. It also warned of ongoing dangers to Palestinians, especially in the West Bank, due to killings, arbitrary arrests, and restrictions on gatherings, amidst worsening political and humanitarian conditions. The report emphasizes the importance of understanding the risks posed by the "Greater Israel" project and its role in aggravating the humanitarian crisis.
