Iran Targets Erbil After US Exit
A camp housing families of Iranian opposition members in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq was targeted with two improvised armed drones, with no injuries reported, according to the Region's Counter-Terrorism Agency. The attack targeted a camp north of Kurkosk in Khbata and coincided with another attack on a camp in Rizhkari. It is believed that the Iranian side carried out these attacks, which targeted Iranian Kurdish opposition sites. This comes amid repeated strikes on areas housing Iranian opposition figures in the region in recent times, following the American withdrawal from Iraq, amid fears of escalating attacks.
