Government's capacity for major crises
The main summary of the article is that the Lebanese government is facing a failure in managing sensitive security issues, such as the Dahr El Baidar explosives case. Instead of focusing on uncovering the truth and holding those responsible accountable, the case is being used to settle political scores. The article emphasizes that the state must pursue investigations transparently and enforce the law equally for all, rather than leaving important issues at the mercy of political disputes. Furthermore, the ongoing inability to make even small decisions threatens the prestige of institutions and the security of the Lebanese people.
