The Ministry of Sport announced the start of procedures to transfer 25% of the shares of Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Hilal, and Al-Nassr clubs to the Public Investment Fund, in addition to dissolving the boards of directors of the non-profit organizations managing these clubs. The Al-Hilal Club stated that dissolving the board of the non-profit Al-Hilal Foundation does not terminate the work of the club’s company’s board of directors. An additional 90 days have been added to extend the current board’s term, chaired by Prince Nawwaf bin Sulaiman, until July 2026, to continue the club’s operations. This step is part of the second phase of the club ownership transfer process, aimed at strengthening investments and governance in these clubs.
