Razzak Addai: Iraq's Self-Made Thinker Betrayed
Rizak Addai is a self-made Iraqi intellectual influenced by political and cultural affairs in Iraq and the world. Throughout his life, his interests extended beyond literary criticism to include deep political and intellectual visions. In his works, most notably his book "Iraq: The Most Dangerous Spot in the World," he addressed topics related to Iraq's geopolitical position, how major powers interacted with it, and how its policies were affected by international projects. Addai believes that his political culture goes beyond mere emotional reactions, yet he faced challenges due to the intertwining of political circumstances and conflicts that overshadowed his talent. He was born in a time filled with wars and unrest, which hampered his intellectual development for many years.
