Preliminary leaked results from the international PISA study have once again shown a decline in the performance of students in Germany, where the achievement levels of 15-year-olds in reading, mathematics, and science have decreased compared to 2022 results. About 6,700 German students participated in the latest test, out of over 760,000 students worldwide. The study focuses on assessing core skills in these areas, as well as foreign language skills and digital learning for the first time. These results follow a deterioration in Germany's performance since 2015, with social and economic disparities continuing to impact academic achievement.
