The young Syrian Adham Alnaqshbandi (19 years old) achieved remarkable success in Germany after graduating from high school with a grade point average of 1.0 in the German education system, the highest possible score. He fled Syria with his family 11 years ago due to the war and faced challenges related to language and culture, but he was determined to pursue a path leading to medical studies, holding firmly onto his goal of becoming a doctor. He received a scholarship from the Talent im Land program to support talented students, thanks to his social activities and volunteer engagements such as helping refugee children. He also received training at a summer academy at Salem International College. He is currently applying to universities to study medicine and plans to continue his volunteer work during his studies, believing that perseverance is the most important lesson from his journey.
